Friends Blogging

I had been keeping an online journal for years, then really began to get into blogging when I discovered Yahoo 360. After meeting my wife, it became a day to day journal about traveling to meet her, the status of her visa case, and other things that I thought was interesting to share.

I remember many times her shrugging her shoulders at me and looking at me like I was nuts for spending my time doing such a thing. She just didn't understand the fun in posting things, then kicking off a conversation or meeting new people.

But after her arrival in America, one of her friends turned her on to blogging, and the rest is history. Not only has she been able to meet other Filipinas in the USA, but she also began to sell ad space and write ads for companies and make some money. Since she doesn't yet have her driver's license, this made it the perfect work, and pastime for her.

She helped spread the blogging craze through her circle of friends, and even those that didn't know much about computers jumped on the bandwagon. And now it seems, they all blog, almost all day long. It is a great way for her to work and at the same time have a great excuse to chat to her friends.

P.S.- That's Annie Lou on the left.
