Fable 2

I've discovered a new game on the Xbox 360- Fable 2!

This is one of the most awesome games I've ever played. Usually I'm not into RPGs (Role Playing Games), but Fable 2 contains a lot of combat and other fun things to explore.

I read a lot about the game in GameInformer magazine, where they praised the game on its wonderful story, huge maps, and open world design where you could wander for hours finding things to do and places to explore.

But even after reading that, I never imagined the depth that Fable 2 has. The maps really are huge, and you can unlock many areas just by finding them, without having to figure out some complicated puzzle.

The best part about Fable 2 for me is the option to make your character who you want them to be. You can be a thief and troublemaker in the towns you visit, or you can help those in need and raise your reputation. You can be a wild single guy, or a married family man (or woman). You can even have multiple spouses in multiple locations around the world. Woo hoo!

In Fable 2 you are given quests to accomplish and jobs you can take, but you can spend literally hours not even worrying about the main plot and objectives and simply explore, buy, sell, and trade the things you find. Watching the villagers react to you, both positively and negatively, is beyond hilarious.

Character development is deep, but not complicated. Purchasing food you can gobble up during a heated battle will restore your health. But watch out! Eat too many pies or crunchy chickens, and your character will gain pounds that are difficult to shed. But enjoy a tasty apple or celery, and your health replenishes without all the negative side effects.

Fable 2 is a blast, and its the first RPG I've ever enjoyed playing. It's simple enough for casual gamers such as myself, but deep enough to keep the most diehard RPG fans playing for months.
