Three men on a business trip go to a motel and decide to split the cost of one room between them. The total was $30.
However, after they got to their room, the clerk realized he had over charged them by $5. So he calls the bellhop over and gives him $5 and tells him to take it to the men's room.
On the way up the elevator, the bellhop realizes he can't split $5 equally between three people. So he puts $2 in his pocket gives each of the men $1.
With the return of the $1, that means that each man paid $9.
$9 times 3 equals $27.
The bellhop pocketed $2. So $27 plus $2 equals $29.
Where is the missing dollar?

Blog Catalog
I first noticed blog catalog when I watched my wife blogging. Now that I've started my own, I signed up for it and joined right away. To me, it seems it is one of the best and most entertaining catalogs of blogs, especially for people who have more than one blog, like I do.
With Blog Catalog, you can add friends, follow blogs, join communities, groups, discussions, and neighborhoods. On your dashboard you can see a snapshot of all the latest updates, as well as track your friends and groups. Its a great way to see who has been updating and see what is going on in the blogging world amongst your friends.
I also enjoy the widgets. I chose the "recent visitors" widget and put it on both my blogs. It shows who has been by your blog recently, as well as a small picture of their avatar. Its a great way to see who's come by and then go pay them a visit in return.
I'd recommend blog catalog to any serious blogger who wants to increase their hit count and make new friends.

Stars Lose 4 to 1- End of a season
Detroit got back on their feet and sent the Stars packing until next year in a decisive 4 to 1 victory. Detroit came out strong and didn't let up, only allowing Dallas one goal, while putting away another four.
Dallas didn't have a significant larger amount of injuries, but the bruised and battered Morrow was not the same player that had been on the ice for the previous games in the playoffs. Dallas, however, unlike Detroit, needed everyone at 100% to even compete. Unfortunately that was not the case.
The Stars will be back again next year, with another year of experience under their belts, and a determination to win. And, this time around they will know they have what it takes to win it all.

Stars Win 2 to 1
The Stars weren't quite ready to call it quits, and came out this afternoon with an intensity that was missed in the first three games.
For the first time the Stars seemed actually recovered from the San Jose series. After talk that the series might have taken everything they had, they returned yet again tonight to show they had a little left in the tank.
The teams return to Dallas on Monday night.

Stars Win 3 to 1
Detroit jumped out the gate flat footed and didn't have the focus or drive that has dominated other teams for the last two series. And it cost them an advancement last night.
Dallas hung in there and brought the series to 3 to 1. Turco held Detroit to one goal for the first time, and the rest of the team worked with everything they had to bring it over the top. With some help from a penalty driven Detroit, Osgood was unable to keep the puck out of the net enough to bring in the conference final.
Detroit was unable to sweep this series, but to advance Dallas must- four in a row is mandatory.
The teams return to Detroit for an early afternoon game this Saturday.

Dallas Loses 5 to 2
Home ice advantage didn't help the Stars as they fell to the Detroit Redwings 5 to 2.
In one of the worst home games of the playoffs, the Stars allowed Detroit to score five goals. Turco at times seemed way off his game, intimidated, and unable to focus. Yet he received no help. To the dissatisfaction of the fans, a few times his teammates seemed more determined to help Detroit. Even the focused, determined captain Morrow seemed frustrated and unable to get any decent plays put together.
Detroit has been steamrolling over the competition since the playoffs started, and unless Dallas can pull a rabbit out of the hockey hat, their season will be over much sooner than they had hoped for.
Game four is in Dallas, as they pray they aren't sweeped, and Detroit hopes to end yet another series quickly and decisively.

Dallas Loses 2 to 1
In another upset, Dallas loses its second game in a row on the road to Detroit. Though they played a little better, the Stars were unable to get the puck into the net more than once. Against the strongest team in hockey, it will be impossible to win games that way.
The teams travel down to Dallas to play game three of the series. Will home ice make the Stars shine?

Dallas Loses 4 to 1
A sluggish Dallas Stars returned to the ice against Detroit and were upset in a horrible 4 to 1 loss. The Stars seemed off their game from the very beginning. Whether this was caused by fatigue or simply Detroit playing like Detroit, no one knows.
Turco not only played below par, but his teammates continued to put him into lose/lose situations. The only thing worse than his own performance was the performance of those tasked with making his job possible.
In two days, and hopefully after some more needed rest, the Stars go at Detroit once again and try to put the series even against what is by far the strongest team in hockey at the moment.

Dallas Advances Again!
In a spectacular game going into four overtimes, Dallas eventually put down the Sharks and advances to the next round against Detroit.
Tied at one at the end of regulation, the refs did a fine job of letting the players decide the series. Dallas never let down, and eventually got one in the net.
Next, Dallas faces what seems to be an unbeatable Detroit Redwings. They will need to rest and recover quickly if they have any hope of staying in the ring with the motor city monsters.

Dallas Loses 3 to 2
San Jose stormed into Dallas again, and though the home team scored two goals, San Jose was able to score their third in overtime to take the series to a now dangerous 3 games to 2.
The teams return to San Jose, as they try to tie up the series, while Dallas hopes to put them away.
