No one believed San Jose would lay down and let Dallas take the series without a fight. With so many players nearing retirement, for many this might be their last opportunity to bring home the Stanley Cup.
Breaking a new trend Dallas has of scoring, they held the home team to 1 goal, and forced Marty to give up just one more than that.
Dallas has a comfortable 3 games to 1 lead in the series, but they know they had better work hard and put this away sooner than later.

Dallas Wins 2 to 1
Dallas stretched their series lead to 3 games as they dined on some Shark soup in American Airlines arena.
Only a few teams have come back from being down three games to none. Will San Jose be able to join that rare list?

Dallas Wins 3 to 2
Dallas continued their momentum from the series with the Ducks and had Shark on the menu in round two.
The 3 to 2 victory doesn't reflect the domination of Dallas throughout the game. The visiting team came to play and it showed.
Game two is in San Jose.

Dallas Loses 5 to 2
Anaheim once again returned strong, giving the home ice a workout as they slaughtered the Stars from one end of the ice to the other.
For the first time in the series, Dallas just couldn't get it together. They only scored two goals, the worst of the series for them, and they allowed the Ducks to get the most goals so far.
They return to Dallas for the next match, as Anaheim tries desperately to survive and Dallas tries to send them packing.

Dallas Wins 3 to 1
Dallas woke back up in tonights game, as Marty Turco held the Ducks to one goal.
After a disappointing loss in the first game in Dallas, the Stars gave the fans what they were looking for. Once again they were aggressive, smart, and played like they meant business.
Dallas leads the series 3 to 1 as they return to California for game five.

Stars Lose 4 to 2
The Stars returned to Dallas and got a taste of why the Ducks were Stanley Cup champions last year. Anaheim was quick to take advantage of Dallas mistakes.
Game 4 will be in Dallas in a couple of days. Dallas hopes to not get sweeped at home, while Anaheim wants to even the score before returning to California.

Stars Win 5 to 2
In a repeat of the game two nights ago, the Stars hit the ice motivated, focused, and determined to win. In cases where in years past they would have imploded and given the game away, this year instead they have just worked harder and been less distracted when things don't go their way.
This 5 to 2 win in Anaheim proves the first game wasn't a fluke, but instead a determined team using every bit of their talent.
The teams fly to Dallas for game 3.

Stars Win 4 to 0
The Dallas Stars really came out swinging against the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. Within seconds of the first faceoff it became obvious Dallas came not only to play, but to win. Unlike past performances, Dallas hit the ice running and was focused from start to end.
The Ducks, the defending Stanley Cup Champions, didn't know what hit them. But the Ducks will not simply quack into the night and disappear. Will the Stars be able to take it to California two games in a row?
